MartyKids (ovvero “i bambini secondo Marty”) é un progetto che é nato un po’ per caso e un po’ per destino. Durante gli ultimi anni in cui ho sperimentato e ricercato il mio stile fotografico mi sono accorta che c’era un filo conduttore in tutti i lavori che svolgevo. Che fosse un matrimonio, un evento o una sessione di Street Photography, tra gli scatti che mi portavo a casa, i miei preferiti erano sempre quelli che ritraevano bambini. Erano gli scatti che piú mi trasmettevano emozioni, che piú mi facevano sentire soddisfatta, che piú mi facevano sentire libera. Osservando i bambini mi sono resa conto di quanto siano imprevedibili e di come riescano a divertirsi e ad essere felici veramente con pochissimo. Vivono le loro emozioni liberamente, senza vergogna. E sapete una cosa? Mentre li osservo e catturo i loro attimi di felicitá, gioco, euforia, rabbia, tristezza e disperazione, io vivo tutte quelle emozioni insieme a loro! E ne sono grata!

MartyKids (or “children according to Marty”) it’s a project born a bit by chance and a little by destiny. During last years of experimenting and research of my photographic style I noticed that there was a main theme in every work I was doing. That it was a Wedding, an event or a Street Photography session, among the shots I brought home, my favourites were always the ones about children. Those were the shots that most make me feel emotions, make me feel satisfied, make me feel free. Observing children I realised how much they are impredictable and how they can have fun and be happy really with little. They live freely their emotions, without shame. And you know what? While I’m watching them and I capture their moments of happiness, play, euphoria, anger, sadness or despair, I live all those emotions with them! And I’m grateful!
